Get To Know Brian

harbourpointe-889

Hey there! I’m Brian, but many people call me by my last name Hayter (and yes, I’ve heard ALL the jokes & puns about being a Hayter!). I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where I grew up in Snohomish County, attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, and I’ve also lived on the Eastside in Kirkland and in Seattle's Greenlake area. Currently, I live in Edmonds with my wife, Amy, and our two rambunctious boys, Theo and Parker.

When I'm not busy with work or spending quality time with my family, I have a few hobbies that keep me occupied. I enjoy skiing, golfing, hiking, and settling in with a good book. I love music of all types (Pearl Jam is my all-time favorite and I’m really into classic rock as a genre) and I have a pretty extensive live concert resume. I'm also a big fan of traveling and have been fortunate enough to explore many different countries around the world in Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe. I'm also a big Seattle sports fan. I love rooting for our local teams and getting together with friends and family to watch the games.

I'm proud to be a part of the Snohomish County Realtor Association's Board of Directors and the Government Affairs Committee. We work hard to promote affordable home ownership opportunities and property owner rights for everyone in our community. Giving back to those in need is very important to me, and I’ve coordinated my office Community Service Day project since 2017, where we work to provide fresh produce for local food banks. I also participate in many of the projects my office sponsors such as providing scholarships for kids to attend YMCA Camp Orkila on Orcas Island, food & clothing drives, providing meals to healthcare professionals during the pandemic and providing Christmas gifts to low-income families in Snohomish County. As a Windermere agent, a portion of my compensation on each transaction goes to our Foundation, which has raised over $50 Million over the years for low-income and homeless families in the area.

I'm absolutely terrified of heights, yet I've managed to conquer my fear and jump out of an airplane and bungee jump not once, but twice! And here's a fun fact about me: I've had the honor of officiating weddings for several of my past clients! Being a part of such a special moment in someone's life is an honor that I'll never forget.

I truly believe that the Northwest is the best place to live in the world. As a real estate agent, I'm dedicated to helping my clients find the perfect home in this wonderful corner of the country. So if you're looking to buy or sell a home in the area, I'm here to help!
